Projects

Applied work on Alberta health data — designed from official documentation and built entirely on synthetic or public information.

Project 001 · Synthetic health data consulting

Emergency visits, hospitalization and length of stay

Project 001 generates synthetic NACRS-style emergency records (30,000 visits, 34 variables) and DAD-style inpatient records (60,000 stays, 51 variables) so two linked questions can be studied without real patients. It is a fictional consulting demonstration — not a real contract, hospital or patient population.

  • Question 1: do CTAS level and pre-disposition time affect whether an emergency patient is hospitalized?
  • Question 2: among admitted patients, how do acuity and emergency stay relate to inpatient length of stay?
  • Reproducible R workflow with renv, a variable dictionary and example reports

Consulting memos

The analysis is written up as a sequence of memos, from scoping to findings.
